In 1998, Brenda Hall was an acrylic painter, enjoying tole and decorative painting on wood and other hard surfaces as well as a few murals.

In 2002, Brenda tuned her television to PBS and discovered a program that changed her life - “Terry Madden’s Wonderful Watercolor Workshop”. She was immediately and entirely captivated.

In 2004, Brenda signed up for a Terry Madden workshop and the following year became a Madden Certified Teacher (MCT). In 2006, she took a Mediterreanean cruise with 25 other watercolor artists and Terry Madden, himself.

Today, Brenda paints animals, florals, landscapes, seascapes and the occasional abstract in both impressionistic and realistic styles. A ten year veteran with the Artists Collective Gallery in Elk, Brenda has also taught watercolor painting.

This lovely and talented artist also knits and crochets (since age 12!) and has a strong fashion sense, sharing her whimsical a “off beat” sense of style in a three-dimensional fashion alongside her two-dimensional paintings of the many “critters” one might see in the wild. This eclectic group of clothing and wall hangings is called the “Wild and Wooley” collection. A hammered dulcimer player, Brenda lends her musical talent to art shows and gallery openings and recently could be found at the Stanford Inn featuring a “Songs for Shelter” fundraiser to help SOS, a non-profit organization aiding animals and pet owners on the coast who are in need of help.
